Bio

Andrea Terry is a metalsmith and educator from Liberty Hill, Texas. Her initiation into jewelry making began at Austin Community College and continued by taking studio classes in filigree and chasing and reposse. She was a finalist in the silver category in the 2019 Saul Bell awards with her filigree necklace, “An Elegant Disintegration”. She was a top 20 finalist in the 2023 Jose Hess Awards with her filigree piece “Creature Comforts”. She curated and participated in a seven person filigree exhibition “Contemporary Filigree, Linked by Tradition” in Adorned Spaces the 2024 SNAG conference. She was invited to exhibit in Craftforms 2024 with her filigree sculpture “Paper Wasp Nest”. She enjoys passing on her metalsmithing knowledge to others and has taught in-person and online classes at Multiplicity Studios, Pocosin School for Fine Craft, the Jeweler’s Saw and has upcoming classes at the Penland School of Craft and The Loft Jewelry Studios.
