For many people, home is a connection that is much more than a shelter; it signifies a place of comfort, of family, of friendships, a place where we can be ourselves. A place that can sometimes illicit strong emotions, both good and bad.

In Creature Comforts, the filigree shell seeks to evoke a figurative and symbolic sense of home. The snail always carries its shell on its back, its home always present and connected. This is also the case with us, emotionally carrying our connection to home in our hearts and minds, with complex feelings that can at times feel burdensome. but also comforting.

Creature Comforts was entered into the 2023 Jose Hess Design Competition, making it into the top 20 of entries received.
